Yes, it’s time for another one of those applications that may just make it into my all time top twenty billion Windows Applications of all time™

Fences is an application from StarDock that allows you to sort out your bleedin’ desktop icons into little.. well.. “fences”… which happily nests them together.

How it handles mutliple monitors and screen resolution re-sizing almost, almost gave me an erection.

It’s like the angels with their bloody harps have decided to fuck harps and start programming windows applications. That’s how bleedin’ good it is. It doesn’t even hog your system memory or reside in your fucking system tray

Anyway, don’t just take my word for it, (which even I wouldn’t) – go and download it and then come back here and post in the comments, “bloody hell, you’re fucking right, it nearly gave me an erection too”

It occurs to me every now and again that maybe Wordpress isn’t the single greatest thing ever. (its’ not, Pic Pic DS is but hey… I’m pretty sure Pic Pic isn’t very good at doing internet sites.)

Anyway, I thought I’d compile a list of things Wordpress doesn’t do – that it could, and probably does if you go finding a plug in. Please feel free to post in the comments if you’ve discovered methods/plugin’s for the stuff below and I’ll happily retract my moans…

1. I wish I could turn off comment authentication on single posts – I.e. a “don’t ask for authorisation on this posts comments” tickbox. (Would help this post)

2. I wish it did in line commenting. I.e. you can see the last comment under each post. Like on Destructoid.

3. I wish it’d let me make multiple blogs in one database, and I wish it was easy to do. (it bloody well should be)

4. I wish it’d stop updating so bloody often. Doubt there’s a plug in for that though.

5. I wish the “view this post” button was as fast to make a page as “visit site” – it makes no sense?!

That’s about it really..

All in all, I’d rate this post as 2/10 – Ta

Whilst not being the best thing in the world ever. Sxipper is without doubt the best firefox thing ever.

It’s a very simple idea really. It manages your passwords, detects when you’re visiting a website that requires a password and automatically fills in the forms for you (and even presses Submit too)

It allows multi users per website (meaning, you can have two accounts on a web page and it offers which one you want to log into in a wonderful little dialog)

It doesn’t need any setting up, instead, it interrogates that firefox already has stored in your Passwords and things and adds them to it’s database.

It can also learn shit, so if you type your address in, and another website asks for your address it can insert it, depending on your persona (I have several persona’s – “Cheeky cunt” being A@A.com etc)

Generally, it’s ace, and with the exception of my main bank, I let it handle all my passwords happily.

And so starts my new category “useful sheet”
